The National Diesel Initiative offers a combination of regulatory and voluntary programs to reduce diesel emissions. $15 million has been requested in the FY06 budget to support diesel emission reductions. Ms. Zaw-Mon will present an overview of this program and discuss its relationship with one of its first pilots: the West Coast Collaborative.

Mr. Murchie will discuss The West Coast Collaborative FY05 and FY06 funding and will present ideas for next steps and potential permanent structures for the Collaborative.

This series of presenters will focus on the challenges and opportunities for developing and implementing reduction strategies/projects. The presenters will give short summaries of the main project areas, next steps and existing or potential funding needs/opportunities.
