SmartWay Solutions on the I-5 Corridor Project

Location: West Coast

EPA awarded a $200,000 grant to Cascade Sierra Solutions as part of its National Clean Diesel Campaign to encourage and facilitate leading-edge voluntary diesel emissions reductions throughout the country. This grant will help establish two outreach centers, providing truck owners traveling along the I-5 Corridor with information about, and financing for, technologies that will save them fuel and reduce emissions. This project will be implemented with $3 million in leveraged funds from the Oregon Department of Transportation and $2 million from the Oregon Department of Energy.
