I-5 Truck Idle Reduction Initiative

Location: I-5 corridor throughout Washington, Oregon, and California

EPA's Smartway Transport Partnership is providing $100,000 to the Washington Department of Ecology, $100,000 to the South Coast Air Quality Management District, and $200,000 to Oregon State University for the I-5 Truck Idle Reduction Initiative. These three projects will leverage over $6 million in matching funds from various non-profit and government partners as part of the West Coast Collaborative and the West Coast Governors’ Global Warming Initiative.
