National Institute
of Health Grants
There's a grant opportunity to study the effect of racial and ethnic

The Wellstone Fellowship is designed to foster the advancement of
social justice through participation in health care advocacy work
that focuses on the unique challenges facing many communities of
color.
Biodiesel Tax Incentive
A bill containing the biodiesel tax incentive was passed as part
of the bill known as the "JOBS Bill" in Congress. The incentive
is a federal excise tax credit in the amount of one penny per percentage
of biodiesel blended with petroleum diesel. All biodiesel consumers
will benefit from this legislation, including those in tax exempt
markets, like school districts.
Northwest
Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA)
NEEA is accepting unsolicited proposals for
innovative ways to save electricity in the NW region by making products
and services that that use energy more efficiently available and affordable
to consumers and businesses in ID, MT, OR, and WA.
Green
Communities
The Enterprise Foundation announces Green Communities,
a new five-year initiative that will offer financing, grants
and technical assistance to build more than 8,500 environmentally
friendly, affordable homes across the country. The Green
criteria address these aspects of design, development and
operations: Integrated Design Process, Location and Neighborhood
Fabric, Site, Water Conservation, Energy Conservation,
Materials and Resources, Healthy Living Environment, and
